I am honoured to support the Inaugural AfricaCom Ministerial Summit 2024, held as part of the 27th Annual Africa Tech Festival (11th-14th November) in official partnership with South Africa’s Department of Communications and Digital Technologies (DCDT).

The AfricaCom Ministerial Summit 2024 will address crucial issues shaping Africa’s journey toward harnessing innovation and technology to drive business transformation and unlock socio-economic progress.

The summit will bring together African and international ministers from critical sectors—ICT, Innovation, Trade, Finance, Education, and Enterprise—to foster collaboration and drive conversations that strengthen tech ecosystems and advance technological innovation across public and private sectors.

Chaired by AI expert, entrepreneur, and African Union Advisor Lavina Ramkissoon, the summit’s keynotes, panels, ministerial roundtable, and bilateral discussions will examine the role of ICT policy and regulation in building tech-driven economies. These sessions will emphasise the importance of government and policy innovation across the digital economy value chain, foster tech-savvy societies and skilled enterprises through education, and delve into additional critical topics.

James Williams, Director, Informa Tech, Lavina Ramkissoon, and I look forward to meeting you for productive collaborations at the Africa Tech Festival from November 11th to 14th, 2024.
